Sitting on the toilet is hard on the quads

I shared a workout session with Stacey this week. Our trainer, Devin, worked us hard. He focused on Stacey’s legs and I had a full body workout. I was so happy to have previously scheduled this session because I was having a tough day and it would have been SO EASY to go home right after work and not go to the gym. I had been fighting a headache all day and feeling horrible. And, it’s for exactly that reason that I wanted to pre-schedule some sessions with Devin. It was a commitment I knew I couldn’t get out of, and was happy I couldn’t bail on it because I knew in the end it was good for me.

Devin had recently sent me a new program for me to use on my own and I hadn’t had a chance to do much of it since I’ve been sick lately. He looked over my program with me since I had a few questions and decided to do some of the exercises in our session. It was a tough workout on my legs and I was feeling it about 3 squats in! At the end of the session I told Stacey that I might not be able to run far at our next softball game (two days after our session). We laughed about it at the time, but it was very true!

I was hobbling around the day after the workout with Devin and I don’t think the distance between standing up and sitting on the toilet has ever felt so far! My quads have been really sore and sitting in chairs (or on toilets) uses a lot of quad muscles! Looking forward to recovering and getting back to the gym…and sitting without pain again.
