New goals and new programs

Tuesday I had a meeting with my trainer (Devin) about setting some new goals and a new program now that the marathon is behind me. I LOVE new goals – they’re so energizing! So of course I came in with a list…at the top of it was another marathon – Victoria in October. I enjoyed the last marathon so much that I’m looking forward to doing another – honestly can’t wait! Along with that I have some other running goals (a few trail runs of various distances coming up over the next few months) and some cycling goals (to be faster and a better climber). And last I have climbing goals! whoohoo.

So Devin took all of that and is putting together a new program that will involve strength (especially for the next month or so before we taper a bit for running), some cycling drills (both indoor on the trainer and outside), a running program and a climbing program to follow. I can’t wait to see how it’s going to look – especially the climbing program! For now it’s business as usual but starting next week I’ll hopefully get it started.
